Payment and Payout Policy

This Policy explains payment, receipt, tax, refund, payment-dispute, Store-settlement, and Pro-payout rights and responsibilities for direct Urbanmount and participating Store, Shopify, and White Label Services.

Custom Offer payment, tax, merchant, settlement, authorization, and payout terms are governed separately and are not supplied by this Policy. For any transaction, the accepted Service Details and payment authorization control over a general example.

1. Who collects the Customer's payment

The merchant is determined by where the Customer completes payment:

Branding, logos, domains, or where the booking journey began do not change the merchant. Checkout identifies who will collect the payment.

Each accepting Pro remains the seller and field-Service provider for that Pro's Work Order. Urbanmount or a Store does not become the installer merely by collecting payment.

2. Payment authorization

Urbanmount or the applicable merchant may use any payment, bank, transfer, payout, refund, reversal, or settlement method made available through its checkout or payment provider. Before a charge or transfer, the Customer sees the merchant, amount or how it will be calculated, currency, timing or trigger, Service, selected method, and applicable cancellation and refund rules. The Customer authorizes that selected method and the disclosed charge or transfer. Provider and network terms may also apply.

The authorization may include, without limitation, a deposit, progress or milestone charge, scheduled Service payment, saved payment method, later charge, retry, replacement or updated method, refund, reversal, or adjustment when the screen and accepted Service terms disclose it. A named method is illustrative and does not limit methods Urbanmount or the merchant may later make available.

A payment button does not accept a material change to the Service unless the notice beside it clearly identifies and accepts that change. A material change to amount, timing, scope, assigned work, or payment authority requires the affected party to accept the changed terms.

3. Service-linked progress payments

When a Service uses a payment schedule, each charge relates to a disclosed deposit, completed work, defined Service milestone, or other accepted Service event. The schedule shown at acceptance states the amount or calculation, timing or trigger, selected method, and applicable cancellation and refund terms.

The Customer is not unconditionally responsible for unperformed work merely because the Service was accepted. A Pro is paid under the accepted Work Order and payout terms.

4. Urbanmount statement descriptor and receipt

For an Urbanmount-collected payment, the Customer's bank or card statement identifies URBANMOUNT within provider and network limits.

Urbanmount's receipt identifies UM Technologies Inc. d/b/a Urbanmount as the merchant. It shows the Service ID and short Service description, relevant dates, subtotal or amount, tax, tip, credits, adjustments or refunds, currency, and payment-method information. It links to the Service Details and applicable policies.

The receipt does not repeat each Pro's identity and detailed scope. Those details appear in the Service Details and Work Orders. Receipt totals and the Service ID must match the Service's financial record.

5. Store statement descriptor and receipt

For a payment collected through a Store's Shopify checkout or other Store payment system, the Customer's statement uses the Store's approved merchant description and the Store issues the financial receipt. Urbanmount separately provides or keeps the Service Details and Work Orders. That Service confirmation is not a second merchant receipt.

White Label styling may not hide or misstate the actual merchant on checkout, payment authorization, statement disclosures, or receipts.

6. Transaction tax

The merchant handles customer-facing transaction tax.

The Pro does not separately collect transaction tax from the Customer on either managed checkout. The Pro remains responsible for the Pro's income, self-employment, payroll, entity, and other business taxes.

7. Tips

A tip is voluntary, separate from the Service price, and does not expand the Work Order. A tip is assigned to the intended eligible Pro. It may be reversed only for a supported payment correction, refund, fraud, or another reason authorized by the accepted terms.

8. Refunds

The merchant issues an approved Customer refund through the original or another applicable provider-supported method under the Cancellation, Refund, and Rescheduling Policy and the terms accepted for the Service.

Urbanmount may start a refund through a Store's payment system only when the signed Partner agreement and Store permission allow it for the affected Urbanmount Service item. If Urbanmount does not have that permission, it will report that Store action is pending and will not state that the refund is complete.

A required Customer refund is an amount due under the agreement. The Platform Terms' Customer liability cap does not reduce it.

9. Payment disputes and chargebacks

The merchant handles payment-provider and card-network disputes for its charges. Urbanmount handles disputes for Urbanmount-collected payments. A Store handles disputes for Store-collected payments, while Urbanmount supplies relevant Service information and may assist without misrepresenting who collected the payment.

Responsibility for the final loss depends on the documented cause and the value of the affected Work Order. Supported Pro fraud, breach, or nonperformance may make the Pro responsible for the affected amount. Urbanmount is responsible for Urbanmount Platform or payment-system errors. The merchant handles Customer payment fraud unrelated to Pro conduct. Mixed responsibility is divided based on the evidence.

A payment dispute, chargeback, reversal, or provider credit does not extinguish an amount the Customer or Pro otherwise owes. The merchant may recover an unpaid amount, fees and costs allowed by the accepted terms, and reasonable collection costs where permitted, including through a collection agency or court action. A Pro is not responsible merely because the Pro performed the disputed Service, but Urbanmount may recover an amount for which the Pro is responsible under the Pro Agreement.

10. Pro payout

Before accepting a job, the Pro sees the expected payout for the Work Order. Urbanmount starts payout after the applicable completion and payment-clearance conditions are met.

Urbanmount may hold, delay, adjust, deduct, reverse, recoup, or set off a payout or other amount for the reasons stated in the Pro Agreement, including Service changes, cancellations, refunds, reversals, chargebacks, disputes, ProjectCare or other Customer payments, suspected error or fraud, breach, nonperformance, property loss, taxes or required withholding, incomplete information, indemnity, reimbursement, provider requirements, or another amount the Pro owes. Urbanmount may apply an established obligation against current or future payouts, tips, rewards, commissions, credits, benefits, or other amounts and recover any remaining balance.

The Pro's statement shows the gross amount, disclosed fee or other adjustments, and net payout. A short description may protect sensitive case information while Urbanmount keeps supporting records. An undisputed earned Work Order payout remains an amount due and is not reduced by the Pro liability cap.

11. Store settlement and Pro payout

Urbanmount calculates, administers, and sends each Pro payout for participating Store Services, including when the Store collected the Customer's payment. The Store pays Urbanmount the Service funds or other amount required by the signed Partner agreement. The Store does not pay the Pro directly.

Urbanmount keeps the payment, settlement, Service, and payout records needed to administer the amounts and prevent double payment.

12. Failed payments and replacement methods

If an authorized payment fails, Urbanmount or the merchant may retry it, use another method the Customer authorized, or ask the Customer to update or replace the selected method. A replacement, provider update, retry, or successor method does not give broader authority than the Customer granted for the disclosed amount and timing.

Urbanmount may pause unperformed future work when a required payment is not collected. The Customer does not become responsible for unperformed work outside the accepted progress-payment terms.

13. Credits, Promotions, referrals, and affiliate amounts

Urbanmount account credit and an Urbanmount Promotion are separate benefits. Urbanmount funds each Promotion; a Store does not fund or share funding for it. A Customer may use one Promotion or available account credit for a Service, not both. Neither applies to tax or tips. Account credit is not cash. When restoration is allowed after a refund, credit paid for the Service is restored as credit. A Promotion has no cash-refund value. The offer shown to the Customer controls eligibility, expiry, cancellation, and restoration.

Customer Referral credit and first-Service benefits are account-bound and cannot be transferred. An unused Customer Referral benefit expires one year after it is granted or claimed, and Urbanmount shows the exact expiration date. Referral links and codes do not create or reserve value by themselves.

Urbanmount-funded Pro Recruiting and Pro Client Affiliate amounts are separate from Work Order earnings. They are paid to the referring Pro's verified payout account and are never deducted from the Pro who performs the later Service. The program terms and offer show the qualifying event, calculation, timing, expiry, withholding, reversal, offset, and forfeiture rules. Urbanmount may deny, hold, deduct, reverse, recoup, set off, or recover an amount for suspected error, fraud, illegality, abuse, breach, invalid qualification, cancellation, refund, chargeback, debt, incomplete required information, or another reason in those terms. A supported vested amount remains payable subject to those rights and required withholding.

Store Affiliate Commission is separate from Partner Share, Store order revenue, and Pro payout. Urbanmount makes a supported vested Store amount payable or starts payout within 30 days after the later of eligible Service completion and settled Customer payment. Urbanmount may deny, hold, deduct, reverse, recoup, set off, or recover an amount for suspected error, fraud, illegality, abuse, breach, invalid qualification, cancellation, refund, chargeback, debt, incomplete required information, or another reason in the Store Affiliate Program Terms. A missing eligible payout method may delay transfer and does not prevent lawful withholding, offset, unclaimed-property handling, or recovery.

Each cash recipient is responsible for that recipient's taxes. Urbanmount may request identity, payout, and tax information and may report or withhold an amount when required.

14. Records and retention

Urbanmount keeps billing and credit records for seven years. It also keeps the agreement, payment authorization, Service, Work Order, receipt, tax, refund, dispute, Store settlement, payout, and adjustment information needed to administer and document the transaction and comply with valid holds or duties. Access is limited by role. Raw payment credentials remain with the applicable payment provider rather than in ordinary support records.

15. Questions and corrections

For a payment, receipt, refund, payout, or adjustment question, email support@urban-mount.com. Include the Service, Work Order, receipt, payout, or transaction reference; the amount and date; the claimed error or requested status; and available supporting information. Do not send a full card number, bank-account number, password, or security code.

A formal dispute notice follows the Platform Terms or Pro Agreement and must be sent to legal@urban-mount.com. Asking Support a routine question does not start the formal dispute-resolution period.
