U.S. State Privacy Notice
This Notice supplements the Urbanmount Privacy Policy for U.S. residents. Urbanmount uses one general privacy framework and adds a narrow state-specific notice, right, consent, or process only when the law and the person's circumstances require it. Urbanmount does not maintain separate policies for every Service, state, city, county, or ZIP.
1. Rights Urbanmount offers nationwide
After reasonable verification, Urbanmount allows U.S. users to request:
- access to personal information associated with them;
- correction of inaccurate personal information;
- a portable copy of appropriate information; and
- deletion, subject to valid transaction, security, tax, accounting, legal, dispute, and other retention exceptions.
Urbanmount offers these baseline choices voluntarily. They do not mean that every state privacy law applies to Urbanmount or that Urbanmount waives every available exception.
2. Additional rights when a state law applies
Depending on the person's state, the law, and Urbanmount's coverage under that law, a verified request may also include:
- confirmation that Urbanmount processes personal information;
- categories or specific pieces of personal information;
- categories of sources, purposes, and recipients;
- a list of specific third parties when required;
- an opt-out from targeted advertising, sale, or sharing;
- a limit on sensitive-information use outside permitted purposes;
- information, correction, access, opt-out, or human review for a qualifying automated decision;
- an appeal of a denied request; and
- protection from unlawful discrimination for exercising a right.
Urbanmount applies the right, verification method, exception, deadline, and appeal process required for the requester's jurisdiction and circumstances.
3. Advertising opt-outs and Global Privacy Control
Urbanmount may use information for targeted advertising and related measurement as described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie and Tracking Notice. When an applicable privacy law treats that activity as targeted advertising, sale, or sharing, Urbanmount provides the required opt-out.
Urbanmount treats a valid Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out to the extent required and reasonably linkable to the person or account. A browser or device signal generally applies to the browser, device, and Urbanmount website or app where it is received. It does not automatically become an account-wide or cross-device choice unless the available control says that it does.
Urbanmount applies the choice to the processing and recipients it controls or can instruct when required. A Global Privacy Control signal does not stop account, Service, payment, security, fraud-prevention, or other non-advertising processing. The processing involved and available controls differ by website or app, device permission, and applicable law.
4. Sensitive personal information
Urbanmount uses identity documents, tax identifiers, screening information, Service addresses, precise active-Service location, private messages, recordings, and incident materials only for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy. Urbanmount does not use precise location or comparable sensitive operational information for targeted advertising or unrelated profiling.
When applicable law gives a person the right to limit sensitive-information use outside permitted purposes, Urbanmount honors that right. Urbanmount does not treat silence as permission for a new incompatible use.
5. California disclosures
For California residents covered by the California Consumer Privacy Act, the Privacy Policy describes the categories of information collected, sources, business and commercial purposes, and recipient categories. Urbanmount honors applicable rights to know, access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit non-permitted sensitive-information use, and receive equal service and price subject to lawful differences.
Urbanmount confirms receipt of a qualifying California request within 10 business days. It ordinarily responds to an access, deletion, or correction request within 45 calendar days, subject to a permitted extension with notice. Urbanmount processes an applicable opt-out or limit request within 15 business days and notifies or directs an affected recipient when required. Verification is matched to the sensitivity and risk of the request.
Urbanmount does not offer accounts or Services to a person under 18 or the higher local age of majority. It does not knowingly sell or share personal information of a person under 16.
6. Automated decisions and Opportunity Score
Urbanmount may use automated systems for Opportunity Score, eligibility ordering, matching, and routine dispatch. A score of 30 is a warning only. A score of 20 may prospectively restrict Instant Booking under the score rules stated in the Pro Agreement.
When a score-based decision materially limits a Pro's opportunities, Urbanmount provides the affected capability, current score and threshold, material information used, a specific reason, a correction route, and meaningful human review. The reviewer can correct the information, calculate the score again, change the decision, and restore access.
If California automated-decision requirements apply to a particular use, Urbanmount provides the required notice and access process and uses the available correction, opt-out, or human-review process required for that use. These statutory duties depend on the applicable law, Urbanmount's coverage, and the specific decision. Urbanmount does not describe them as universal rights.
7. Requests, verification, and appeals
Submit a request or appeal through the authenticated privacy form shown in your account or by emailing legal@urban-mount.com. Include the request type, account or contact information, state of residence, and enough detail to locate the relevant records. Do not send passwords, raw payment credentials, or unnecessary identity documents by ordinary email.
Urbanmount verifies a request using information appropriate to the account, the requested records, and the risk. An authorized agent must provide evidence of authority. Urbanmount may also verify directly with the individual when permitted.
If Urbanmount denies a request that carries a statutory appeal right, the response explains how to appeal. Urbanmount records the appeal, applicable deadline, supporting information, decision, and response.
8. Store and Shopify requests
Urbanmount handles requests for information it controls, including Urbanmount accounts, Services, Work Orders, Platform communications, payment evidence for Urbanmount-collected payments, Pro eligibility, fraud and safety, ProjectCare, and Urbanmount systems. A Store handles requests for its storefront, product orders, independent marketing, and payments it collects.
A request is divided only when it actually covers both parties' records. A Shopify compliance request causes Urbanmount to address information received from Shopify that Urbanmount holds. It does not authorize Urbanmount to change the Store's own Shopify records.
9. Contact
Questions, requests, appeals, and authorized-agent submissions may be sent to legal@urban-mount.com or through the authenticated privacy form shown in your account. Ordinary product support is available at support@urban-mount.com.
